Joint Christmas Party for Watford and Hemel 2013

We had the most wonderful Christmas party on Monday at Soul Survivor Watford! The Fence Club again donated a wonderful set of gifts for Santa to give out on the day. Santa has the most beautiful sensory grotto with keen assistance from a team of elves.

The Mayor of Watford Dorothy Thornhill came to open the party and we had a lovely time with her chatting with the children and families, here she is with Jonty in the picture looking very festive with her Santa hat on! Jonty’s mother Jessica also presented Andrea Clarke with a cheque for £1394 raised from the Rock choir event she had run at St Alban’s school for Playskill.

Sadly Nicole who had also raised £2000 from Charlie’s Gift was not well and therefore not able to make the party.

Cedric Levitt also gave us the news that Watford and District Classic car club had raised over £1000 too for Playskill. Ruth Colin from Hartbeeps ran a great singing time for all the children at the party which was great fun for all to enjoy, and the children made Christmas decorations to hang up at home too.

Playskill had a drop in after school session for older children from the past groups to come to and this was a great success too, they loved getting their presents as well.
