Playskill AGM 2019
This year’s AGM was once again a wonderful evening where we heard from our amazing families about the difference Playskill is making to their lives, and how our supporters have helped us to raise the funds to provide for these families.
We were delighted to welcome Peter Taylor, Mayor of Watford, who opened the evening. Peter is a fantastic supporter of Playskill and was able to update us on the council’s plans for the Lemarie Centre and a new building that will house both Playskill and Mencap while the Lemarie is redeveloped. It is so wonderful to have Peter supporting our work.
We heard from our Chairman Stuart, who updated everyone on the success of the year and our plans for the future and Andrea guided us through the year and some of the challenges our families. are facing.
Our annual awards for Volunteer of the Year and Fundraiser of the Year were proudly awarded to Claire and Emma. Congratulations to you both. Your support this year has been outstanding and ensured we can provide our service to so many families. Thank you.
As you may know this year was an ‘AGM like no other’ as we had the honour of hearing directly from our parents about the incredible difference Playskill is making to their lives. Below you can read a few of the speeches we were lucky enough to hear on the night.
