Playskill Christmas Party 2015

Playskill Christmas Party

On Monday we celebrated our joint Christmas party on Monday in Watford at Soul Survivor. It was a very special celebration as the charity now has the knowledge of 5 years funding ahead  in 2016-2020 of £450,000 of Big Lottery money for its Watford and Hemel Hempstead core work with children with physical difficulty or delay. This secures our work and will enable us to focus on starting new work as well as developing further their parent education and support.

The party saw Santa in a  specially created sensory grotto give out over 60 presents to local children with special needs. The children were enthralled by the beautiful grotto and delighted with Santa’s gifts. The presents were donated by the Fence club. Ruth from  Hartbeeps led a beautiful sensory singing session for all the younger children, and the children all enjoyed some lovely Christmas craft led by the Occupational Therapy team.

It was also the last session for Debbie Hughes as the Playskill Speech and Language therapist before she takes maternity leave to have her 3rd child, Andrea presented her with tears  a gift on behalf of all for her fantastic work with the children for the last 9 ½ years.
