Playskill Christmas Party 2009

We finished the term yesterday with a fantastic party! It was so lovely to have some old faces from the Playskill groups come to join us and to see them all showing off the skills they learnt with us.
It was also a tearful time of goodbyes to some of our group that we will miss a great deal.

We were so delighted to have Dorothy Thornhill, the Mayor of Watford, drop in in such a lovely, informal way – she disappeared in the kitchen and chatted away to everyone so naturally. We also had Councillor Poole and his wife attend on behalf of the Council which was really good. We had our great friends, Peter and Cedric, from the Clarendon Rotary come and Brian Gray from the Fence Club, which had provided an amazing 10 boxes of toys for the Christmas party.

Our Santa’s grotto was packed with toys and huge thanks to Ralph Kitts and Debbie who made a fantastic grotto team as Father Christmas and his assisting elf! Pat the dog was yet another popular moment too with Freddie holding his own with a crowd of interested children.
